What does it mean that The Willow Space for Trauma Treatment is an out of network provider?

The Willow Space for Trauma Treatment is in-network with Aetna, Quest, Allied Trades, Geisinger, Acentra, and M&S EAP. Otherwise, as an out-of-network provider, The Willow Space for Trauma does not directly bill insurance companies. However, we provide clients with a "superbill" - an itemized receipt containing all the necessary details for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Clients pay The Willow Space for Trauma upfront and then take the information from the monthly superbill to submit to their insurance plan's out-of-network mental health benefits to get reimbursed. Clients are often reimbursed a significant amount of the total therapy fee.

Do you accept insurance?

We are in-network with Aetna, Quest, Allied Trades, Geisinger, Acentra, and M&S EAP.
Not all providers at The Willow Space are in-network with all of the above carriers.
Please inquire about in-network providers during your consult call.

We do not work directly with other insurance carriers at this time. However, we do provide monthly superbills that you can use to submit to your insurance company to be reimbursed for the session. These are provided via the client portal on a monthly basis.

How much does trauma therapy cost?

At The Willow Space, we aim to be as transparent as possible about pricing when you are considering treatment. To help in understanding your costs, we have the following standard fee schedule for our clinicians providing therapy services:

Level 1: Pre-Licensed/Associate master's level counselor: $140 - $165 per session, dependent on additional trainings and experience

Level 2: Fully Licensed and higher: $165 - $240 per session, dependent on additional credentials, specialty expertise, and experience

If you are utilizing insurance, these fees will be submitted to your insurance, and once processed, you may owe your standard deductible contribution, co-pay, or co-insurance. We encourage all clients to contact their insurance to confirm their specific plan coverage.

While outpatient mental health treatment can be difficult to estimate in terms of total length and cost, we are able to provide all clients not utilizing insurance with a Good Faith Estimate of specific services and estimated costs.

Do you provide sliding scales?

Yes, we do offer sliding scales. All sliding scale rates are assessed on a case-by-case basis. We aim to be as transparent as possible when discussing financials and associated burdens to accessing mental healthcare.

How often do I pay for sessions?

Accepted Answer

Sessions are paid for at the time of service, including any co-pays mandated by your insurance. Sessions can be pre-paid in advance. All payments are made through our HIPAA compliant client portal.
